Attractions of Santa Barbara

Our family is fond of art and new things so it is a pleasure to see the local attractions while traveling around. We decided to start with the museum, and there were many of them in this town: the first is the Art Museum. It was founded in 1959. Today it contains more than eight and a half thousand works of fine art. It is surrounded by gardens.

The second is a museum of natural science. It is one of the oldest museums in the city, which is famous for its large collection of specimens (more than 3 million) of all vertebrates and insects. In addition there is a huge collection of different species of mammals and birds whose habitat is actually California. A few words are to be said about Ty Warner Sea Center, which is located at the historic Wharf Santa Barbara Stearns.

The third is a museum of art. It was founded in 1941. He also has a remarkable collection of works by Asian and American arts, antiques and photographs.

The fourth is the Planetarium Museum of Gladwin. It is known for exposing distant planets, stars and galaxies.

Finally, the fifth is the Maritime Museum. It is located in the Harbor (the Naval Reserve Center Santa Barbara) on the old pier.

My kids were happy to see much of sea animals’ life. We had lots of unforgettable experiences. The wonders of Santa Barbara are amazing – it is impossible to catch all of them. If we are speaking about gardens of Santa Barbara, we are lacking words and feelings. They are gorgeous. The whole town is really filled with an abundance of different plants. Here one can always find a nice shady spot to rest, and here one can hide from the scorching sun, which is shining all the year round in this nice town.
